Combining work and studies

The Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics is a one year programme running from the end of September till the end of June. Students enrolled in this programme are full-time students.

For those who want to combine work and studies, the Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics offers two trajectories.

Firstly, we organize 7 intensive courses which can be followed at our universities. The intensive courses deal with the basic topics in the field of bioethics. Among the topics included are palliative care and euthanasia, research ethics, ethics of genetics, nursing ethics... Every year various bioethics courses will be offered. The topics taught at every university are based on the focus and strength of the research that is performed at these universities, which ensures that for each topic the best quality courses are offered in the programme. Individual registration is possible for the courses. By enrolling for the individual courses, students are not registering for the programme as a whole.

Secondly, if a student wants to achieve the master title, he/she will need to follow the courses offered in Leuven (from September till January) and the core bioethics courses offered in Nijmegen and Padova. The courses can be spread over more than one year.
