Visiting scholars
The institutes involved in the Erasmus Mundus Master of Bioethics welcome applications for visiting scholars. Visiting scholars may be either junior scholars involved in completion of a PhD. dissertation, post-doctoral scholars or professors. Visiting scholars are given a desk at their institutes, access to a computer and internet and use of office facilities (photocopier, fax machine, local phone). They will be integrated in the institutes but they should be able to work independently.
Thanks to the Erasmus Mundus fellowships every year scholars from third countries can receive a fellowship for a stay in Leuven, Nijmegen or Padova. We regret that no stipends or financial assistance are available for European applicants. Scholarships are provided by the European Commission and cover travel and living expenses for a working assignment of minimum 2 weeks and maximum 3 months. The amount of living allowance (including travel costs) varies from € 2,400 for a 2-week stay to € 14,400 for a 3 month stay (€ 1,200/week). The Erasmus Mundus Master consortium pays the grants to scholars through the Office for International Students and Scholars.
Visiting scholars who want to apply can use the application form (Winword) for scholars. The completed form should be sent by e-mail to masterbioethics@med.kuleuven.be.
The application deadline is January 15th.
