Alzheimer Research Centre K.U.Leuven

The Alzheimer Research Centre K.U.Leuven (ARCK) is part of the Leuven research Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders (LIND). ARCK brings together in one structure the clinical and research initiatives related to Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal lobe degeneration within the K.U.Leuven encompassing the university hospitals UZ Leuven and the university. The main objective of the ARCK is to accelerate the advances in diagnosis and treatment of Alzheimer's disease and frontotemporal lobe degeneration through joint initiatives between physicians treating patients with these disorders within UZLeuven and the scientific laboratories studying these disorders.

Physicians responsible for the treatment of patients with Alzheimer's disease or frontotemporal lobe degeneration collaborate within the memory clinic (geheugenkliniek UZLeuven - website in Dutch), a joint initiative of the services of neurology (Rik Vandenberghe), psychiatry (Mathieu Vandenbulcke), and geriatrics (Jos Tournoy) within UZ Leuven.
