Research

The emphasis in research lies on repeated measures, survival analysis and clinical trials. Repeated measurements studies with categorical (marginal models) as well as continuous responses (linear mixed models) have been investigated. We are especially interested in developing goodness-of-fit procedures for longitudinal studies with responses of both types. Currently generalised linear mixed models are under investigation.

In the area of survival analysis, we are currenlty working on the analysis of interval censored data.

In clinical trials, research has been done on some aspects of the power associated with non-parametric procedures and group sequential methods for monitoring clinical trials. A comparison of several non-parametric methods for covariate adjusted methods has been recently published.

This research has led to several papers in highly qualified international journals (JASA, Biometrika, JRSS-B, Biometrics, CSDA, Applied Statistics, etc. ...).
