The Leuven Coordinating Centre (LCC) belongs to the Department of Cardiology of the University Hospital Gasthuisberg and coordinates multinational clinical trials.
The director is Frans Van de Werf, Chairman and Professor.
This academic research organisation has a broad experience to rely on and focuses on high quality services with maximal flexibility.
The LCC services follow both general and trial specific Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
Compliance with the requirements of the International Conference on Harmonisation (ICH) - Good Clinical Practice (GCP) is ensured. LCC forms the Virtual Coordinating Center for Global Cardiaovascular Research (VIGOUR) together with
the Duke University in Raleigh-Durham (US),
the National Health and Medical Research Council in Sydney ( Australia ),
the University of Alberta ( Canada )
the Green Lane Coordinating Center ( New Zealand )
the Estudios Cardiologicos Latino America (ECLA) and
the TANGO Coordinating Center ( Trials ArgeNtina Group Organisation)
the Uppsala Clinical Research Center (UCR)
