Signaling from the API2-MLT protein in MALT lymphoma |
Protein tyrosine kinases
are important signaling proteins involved in the proliferation
and survival of cancer cells. Our research focusses on the
identification of novel oncogenic tyrosine kinases, the study
of their signaling pathways, and the possible application
of small molecule inhibitors to inhibit tumor growth and survival.

We aim to study the genes and mechanisms involved
in the development of memory and behavior (cognition) in men.
This is achieved by the identification and characterization
of genes involved in mental retardation (IQ<70) through
different genomic and biological approaches. In addition,
this work will allow for correct genetic counseling of families
with MR patients.
