IUAPIUAP P6/43 An integrated approach towards understanding the pathogenesis of CNS and PNS neurodegenerative disorders

The “Interuniversity Attraction Poles” (IAP) Programme aims to provide support for teams of excellence in basic research that belong to Belgium’s various (linguistic) Communities. These teams work as part of a network in order to increase their joint contribution to general scientific advances and, where applicable, to international scientific networks. The IUAP P6/43 network project is designed to apply the unique information provided by sequencing of the human genome to further the understanding of and to develop treatments for neurodegenerative diseases. IUAP has brought together 8 Belgian groups and 3 European groups.

 

MemosadMEMOSAD Memory loss in Alzheimer's disease: underlying mechanisms and therapeutic targets

MEMOSAD is a collaborative project receiving funds from the European Community's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7/2007-2013). MEMOSAD has brought together 10 expert groups from six European countries that are recognized leaders in the field of memory and Alzheimer’s disease research.
